Paris Olympics 2024 LIVE Updates: Lakshya Sen’s badminton singles quarter-final about to start. Today has been a good day for Indian athletes and a day of many firsts. The Indian archers mixed team of Dhiraj Bommadevara and Ankita Bhakat became the first from the country to enter a medal round at the Olympics. Though they missed out on a medal, it was an historic achievement. In hockey, India achieved another first in 52 years. Harmanpreet Singh scored twice as India registered their first win over Australia since the 1972 Munich Olympics. Earlier, Shooter Manu Bhaker qualified for 25m Pistol Women’s final after finishing 2nd in qualifiers at the Chatearoux Shooting Centre.
